It's amazing that we met our Pakistani friends Adan and his wife at bus stop and they were gonna go to Helsingborg too...what a coincidence!!!so we decided to go together.
There are two Helsingborgs in the world, one is in Sverige, the other one named Helsingør which belongs to Denmark. It's just 20 minutes by boat between the two cities-between Sverige and Denmark. One of the most famous buildings in Helsingborg is the building of Kärnan. It's large, medieval stronghold. These are the fotoes we took at the foot of the building and the whole view of the building.Gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I read some informations on the wall inside the stronghold,it told me that Kärnan was started around 1310,when Skåne belonged to Denmark. The Danish king Erik Menved decided that the Castle of Helsingborg should have a new, more modern keep and that the old, round keep from the 1100s should be demolished.Since Denmark did not have a capital city at that time, the king moved around the country between different strongholds.Kärnan was thus built both as a watch and defence tower and as living quarters for the king and his governors.Outside Kärnan, the place where the former, round keep stood is marked.
The other landmark building of Helsingborg is St.Mary’s Church. It’s a Gothic church which started at the beginning of the 14th century and was completed around 1450.But it’s a pity that we didn’t go inside and look what it is like.
One of the most important things I must mention here is that I bought a bag of Dolce & Gabbana,it’s a little bit expensive but I really love it,because I felt for it at the first sight.
